Son of Man

’13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another

New International Version

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.’

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
‘We are masters by our  servitudes, empowered by love to give.

Tilling the land in service to God were so intended.

Now a price on my head for the sweat of my brow.

For the love of God and for the love of money.

We choose to obey the way we serve.’

20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
‘For riches, the sabbath is persecuted

seven days a week for overtime.

So tired to the bones my flesh cry murder.

From between a rock and a hard place,

We are here today and gone tomorrow.

God is not man and a man is not God.

When we turn our ears to the sons of men

And a deft ear to The Son of Man.’

13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
‘So let me be your keeper and you my brother,

Hospitality is a vesture for us.

Because to serve is charitable,

When we subject ourselves one to the other.

I need you to be you and you need me to be me.
Exercising mastery we give, and by our servitude we receive.

Knowing that the servant is not greater than his master.

Son of Man? indeed I Am,

Of the sons of men you do say,

I am a hard task master.

Reaping where I have not sown.

By reason of our dispute,

Hell became a promissory note.

That was never prepared for the sons of men.’
