A community statue commemorating the Christian beliefs of a people liberal and conservative became an offense. The liberals wants it taken down and the conservatives says no it’s important to our religious history.
The liberal minded says according to our religious history no graven images is advisable under penalty of law.. The conservative slapped the liberal saying, you are so liberal then let it stay.
We could debate between Esau and Jacob as to the agenda of their parents and learn a lot in the process. Still the question remains, is God being liberal, conservative or both toward us.
What if Esau had maintained the right to the linage of God. Would it be heaven on earth or hell on earth. That’s like asking would it be beneficial to us if the Antichrist never showed up just to prove the Bible wrong.
