Great Love

Of every command love is the greatest. An eye for an eye was reasonable but love showed itself of a better character. God is love cause love is God manifesting in the simplest form even when it’s out of place. In that there is no greater love than to give your life for a friend.

No sacrificial lamb so numerous is measured more than a single act of love. The love of Jesus blood shed for all mankind is the sacrifice for the Love of God for the world. Is it easy to love a friend? but to love an enemy is a more favorable testament of God. For that reason Jesus offered to die for the sins of the world. So that whosoever believes in Him will reign with Him.

Jesus said,
…Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”

And Samuel said, “Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, He hath also rejected thee from being king.”

It was for love and obedience for Saul’s disobedience to the word of God that Samuel killed Agag king of the Amalekites saying, “As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women.” And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal.

Then there came King David beloved by Nathan son of his beloved King Saul. That display of love led to Jesus affectionately known as Son of David. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing….Love is the greatest among us.
